Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is an attempt to defend the traditional Good Friday prayer for Jews. Achieving the aim of the work is possible thanks to the analysis of the key fragments of this oration and comparing them with the Jewish prayer Birkat ha-Minim. The theme was implemented in four parts. First, the Good Friday prayers for Jews were compiled. Then the Jewish "Birkat ha-Minim" was presented, paying particular attention to its key phrases. Then the key expressions of the traditional Good Friday prayer were explained. The two orations are summarized at the end. In the light of the analyzes carried out, it should be stated that the traditional Good Friday ecthenia for Jews was inspired by the texts of the New Testament. It was written not to offend members of the Jewish people, but to emphasize the tragic situation they found themselves in as a result of rejecting Christ. The analyzes carried out leave no illusions that the purpose of this prayer was the salvation of Jews, and therefore the highest possible good, which in no way is an expression of intolerance or anti-Semitism.
