Summary/Abstract: This paper is a detailed version of a speech from Paris, on a practical description about the routines and practices of the Anvers Port. After a description, among others, of the main actors from the port, namely “nations”, shipping agents (senders) and inspection bodies (nautical Commission) summarizes the different phases of standard shipping on consignment and delivery process at the time of arrival of the ship, in chronological arrival order of the cargo, until the moment when the mechandise is delivered to the consignee, emphasizing liability regime, including traditional rule under which merchandise sits on the embankment on owner's responsibility.
