Summary/Abstract: Circulation of works presents specific elements in the virtual universe. The new information technologies ensure the digitization of content which may be protected by copyright, the creation of accurate copies of digital files, the possibility to transfer them without any effort and additional costs, and appropriate technical possibilities of control of the use of works by the purchasers, which led to development of commercial models which turns the use of a copy of a work into a limited and conditional right of use, but which has also allowed the development of the counterfeiting phenomenon with the impairment of rightholders in obtaining adequate remuneration.
