Summary/Abstract: This article aims to answer, perhaps at least partially, the significant problem of public safety of border residents in the lean times of the coronavirus pandemic. The authors of the material want to present the pandemic-related problems in the Warmian-Masurian region from several points of view: health, social, public safety, the activities of bodies and institutions struggling with this “plague” which is becoming more and more difficult to control, not only in the region but also in Poland and the world. The safety of the inhabitants of every region of the world, Europe, Poland, or Warmia and Mazury is becoming the overriding duty of state and local authorities as well as administrative, law enforcement, and rescue services. It is crucial to combat the coronavirus pandemic at the local government level because there are utmost difficulties in dealing with such a difficult situation. Therefore, the authors of the article will focus their attention mainly on the activities at the local government level.
