Possibility of amending the Act of 1936 on the Relationship between the State and the Muslim Religious Union in the Republic of Poland

Summary/Abstract: According to the author of the legal opinion, the current provisions of the 1936 act, which apply to the Muslim Religious Union, became outdated after the Second World War. This state of affairs was aggravated by the entry into force of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland of 1997 and by the conflict existing within the Union. In the author’s opinion, it should be acknowledged that the situation that has arisen is already ripe for the creation of a new statute in this regard.
