Dialectological features of the grammatical gender system in late Latin language

Summary/Abstract: The main properties of the late Latin grammatical gender system were described in an earlier paper, but the findings there could be more thoroughly evaluated using statistical tests. The goal of this paper is on the one hand to revisit those earlier results and test their statistical significance using chi-squared tests, and on the other hand to examine different questions about the grammatical genders in late Latin found in other papers, e.g., whether it is right to understand some errors as the hypercorrect behaviour of the speaker.
