Summary/Abstract: Codex Monacensis Graecus 307a, copied by twelve hands at the beginning of the 16th century, contains the historical work of Laonikos Chalkokondyles. In addition to the main text, the manuscript also preserved several marginal notes. After the text of Chalkokondyles’ Apodeixis, on page 237v of the codex, we can find an entry added by Nikolaos Sophianos, in which he describes different methods against fleas and bugs. Although the text of the recipe was already published by Jenő Darkó previously, his version is inaccurate and contains many errors. The aim of the present paper is to provide a new decipherment of this four-line text with translation and short comments.
