Summary/Abstract: The Banat Bulgarians are a small catholic community that with the suppression of the uprising in Chiprovtsi in 1688 moved to the district of Banat, formerly part of the Austro Hungarian Empire. Nowadays there are descendants in Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria who zealously preserve the historical and cultural heritage of their ancestors under the patronage of the Catholic Church. Over the years despite scattered over three countries, the community stays united for the sake not only of the past, but also of the future of their intrepidity to create a sublime relationship that to them means “home”.
