Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the news about the First and Second Balkan Wars that the readers of the Sarajevski List could read during those conflicts. The Sarajevski List was the newspaper of Austro-Hungarian authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and its editorial policy reflected their official framework. Published articles focused primarily on military operations and diplomatic activities. The Sarajevski List brought information that covered virtually all participants of said conflicts from various sides. The First Balkan War was covered extensively on the pages of the Sarajevski List. In addition to key war issues, important political issues such as the Albanian question were occasionally addressed, emphasizing the justification of Albanian aspirations. During the Second Balkan War, the editorial board brought news from Sofia that spoke of Bulgarian innocence more often, and Serbian and Greek fault for starting the war. In its writing, List sometimes sided with Bulgaria, although not completely openly. The negative tone towards Serbia is also noticeable. On the other hand, news about Romania did not have a negative connotation, which is understandable due to Vienna’s much warmer attitude towards Bucharest than towards Belgrade. To conclude, in the observed period, this newspaper conveyed the views of official Vienna, although in a somewhat shrouded form.
