Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to make a primary philosophical analysis of the tap dance as well to identify the most relevant cultural fusions that led to the emergence of the tap dance, as a form of art. More specifically, the aim is to explain, from a philosophical and socio-cultural point of view, the fusion of various forms of dance and to understand how it transforms the framework to reflect new social realities. Also, considering the personal reflections of the author, the article is a plea for the tap dance as a comprehensive form of art that dancer creates and that facilitates the openness to themselves and to others.
