Growth and Change of System. The End of the Welfare-State as we knew It

Summary/Abstract: A historical turn of the German welfare-state and its basic rules of functionning has been initiated. There is no really significant difference between the analyses presented by the two large political parties, but they strongly differ in they ways how to react on the economic crisis. The Social Democrats by their economical Credo depent to a high degree from growth rates, while the conservatives call for more individual responsibility and liberalism otherwise enjoying the comfort of being in government. But both concepts as an old piece of bacon by fat are marbled by their traditional lines and in reality meet enormous problems. The social net anyhow becomes more and more sleazy. --------------------------------------------------- Eine historische Wende in den Funktionsprinzipien des deutschen Sozialstaates ist eingeleitet. Dabei unterscheiden sich die beiden Volksparteien in ihren Analysen der Lage nicht wesentlich, wohl aber in ihren Programmatiken. Das ökonomistische Credo der SPD macht ihre Vorstellungen enorm wachstumsabhängig, während die Christdemokraten – in der bequemeren Position der Opposition – mehr »Eigenverantwortung«, sprich: Liberalisierung, wollen und wieder bei der Familiensubvention landen. Beide Vorstellungen aber sind wie abgelegener Speck vom Fett der Traditionslinien durchzogen und weisen enorme Problemlinien auf. Das soziale Netz jedoch wird deutlich lockerer.
