Summary/Abstract: The social "engineering" of religious and cultural diversity and the achievement of equality have become most important topics in multi-religious immigration societies. Since the majority of immigrants to Aurope (about 20 million) have their origin in muslim cultures, the Islam plays a key role in this context. And since the majority of muslim immigrants live in Unit Kingdom, France and Germany, the author sicusses the relationship between state, religion and the muslim communities in these countries.
