Summary/Abstract: Active art and community theatre are concepts that were coined during the last decades, but their basic principles are centuries old. However, the (post)modern world has highlighted the importance of the dramatist that is also the director of the play being written together with the actors, starting from their own personal experiences on a specific social matter. Active art’s target is to identify new artistic and social expectations in the individuals and also in the society. In this particular context, theatre pedagogy is also important to study, as students in drama need to be aware of all the possible revelations in their training. The article is a basic proposal for a larger, deeper and larger study, focused on this particular subject.
