Summary/Abstract: Horia Petra-Petrescu (1884-1962) was a Romanian playwright, journalist and writer. At the beginning of the 20th century he was one of Transylvania’s most active figures. In 1913 he founded The Theatre Journal (Revista Teatrală), which was issued until 1914. The article is focusing on the importance of The Theatre Journal as part of the very uneasy times when the Transylvanian theatre movement started to build its modern shape. Horia Petra-Petrescu’s work is explored as to his cultural management activity, but also to his writings.
