Summary/Abstract: Kenneth Waltz, helped by David Singer, introduced the concept of levels of analysis, to explain international events, such as the war, from different points of view. In our presentation we are planning to follow the path started by Kenneth Waltz – which seeks to locate the source of the explanation of an event, phenomenon, process – and to analyse the possible causes of the outbreak of the ongoing war in Ukraine.
