Summary/Abstract: After June 10, 2022, the Romanian Committee of History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (CRIFST) of the Romanian Academy was left without a man, an intellectual, a spirit. Valentin MARIN, PhD in History, died at the age of 68. In his more than twenty years of service to CRIFST, PhD Valentin MARIN has held several management positions in both the Division of History of Science and CRIFST. The work of our distinguished colleague as Scientific Secretary of CRIFST has been laborious and full of remarkable achievements. Since December 1989 he has also worked at the Institute of the Romanian Revolution, where he participated in the fitting out of the Institute’s library. For all these achievements, which highlighted the activity of PhD Valentin Marin, he received on December 3, 2020, the Cultural Distinction from the Romanian Academy.
