Summary/Abstract: The paper concerns various manifestations of intersubjective images of nature, established in language and culture, in an artistic text: Wojciech Młynarski’s song Lubię wrony, and two other poetic works which have intertextual relationships with it: List do KIG z Łodzi by the same author, and Wierszyk o wronach by K.I. Gałczyński. Methodologically, the paper is based on the theory of cultural scripts combined with cognitive concepts of imaging and conceptual blending. The analysis presented reveals the way in which Młynarski reinterprets shared cultural knowledge in order to express his own patriotism in a form which differs from conventionalized ways of expressing such an attitude.
