Summary/Abstract: The concept of devised theatre has become an important part of the Hungarian theatre studies discourse lately. Devising has close connections with different genres of educational theatre/drama. This paper puts the position of the director of a devising process and the role of the facilitator in Process Drama side by side by examining two specific examples. The author argues that there are several responsibilities that a director and a facilitator share and the article comes to the conclusion that it can be productive if the director of a devised performance considers herself a facilitator and if drama teachers see the genre of Process Drama as devised theatre.
