Summary/Abstract: The twenty-first year of the third millennium is two decades since the renewed Theater Meetings in Brcko. After a break of ten years (1991-2001) due to war events in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 2002, activities were started to restore the theater Festival, which had been seen in eighteen editions until that break. Extremely big problems were present during the renewal of the Meeting, because most of the professional theaters that existed in Bosnia and Herzegovina at that time, and their leaders openly obstructed the Festival from being organized during that period. The dominant reasons for such a thing were non-artistic and non-creative ones that directly entered the sphere of their interest and clan activity. Two then, and still today, the largest professional theaters in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Sarajevo National Theater and the Banja Luka National Theater of Republic of Serb, made a great contribution to the restoration of the Meeting. In this way, their restorative role remains as something that should be remembered in the festival memory. This paper presents the restoration role of the Banja Luka National Theater of the Republic of Serb, while that of the Sarajevo National Theater will be presented in the next issue of SUSRETI magazine, which will be published in 2022.
