Summary/Abstract: The article aims to show detailed themes contained in the breviary readings, which are fragments of the works of the Church Fathers, and in which the Holy Spirit is mentioned. The author showed that in these readings, one could find dogmatic and ascetic themes. The dogmatic threads include the deity of the Holy Spirit, the relationship between Christ and the Holy Spirit, the Spirit working in the Church and individual believers, and the Spirit working through the sacraments. When it comes to ascetic themes, the author identified the following: the action of the Holy Spirit in human spiritual, prayer and eschatological life. The author concludes that the pneumatological thought of the breviary readings is rich in content, has excellent cognitive value and contains a message that can bring many spiritual benefits.
