Summary/Abstract: In today’s Belarus, the concepts of Russification and Belorusification, relations between churches within Christianity are misinterpreted, and the biggest problem is the misconceptions of the Belarusian intelligentsia, which send the wrong message to the citizens and educate new generations in the wrong way. In the scientific work in front of us, the given concepts are analyzed, the perniciousness of their misunderstanding and corrupt interpretation, derusification as an indisputable deformation of the national self-consciousness of Belarusians, destruction of linguistic consciousness, deviation from Orthodoxy and spiritual purity and review of their terrible consequences. The goal of this scientific work is to „open the eyes of the public“ both in Belarus and in the entire Orthodox world.
