Summary/Abstract: On May 13, 2022, the Center for Ottoman Studies (OSAMER) commemorated Mehmet Genç in the first session of the OSAMER Talks Series due to the anniversary of his decease. Beşir Ayvazoğlu, A. Mesud Küçükkalay, Cengiz Aydoğdu, and İhsan Ayal participated in the event and discussed Mehmet Genç's multifaceted personality by examining his biography and his theory on an economic model that revolutionized Ottoman economic history studies.
