Bukovinaʼs Cultural Landscape Built Patrimony and Practices of Its Capitalization

Summary/Abstract: The study presents the conceptual aspects regarding the built cultural landscape, identifies the general and specific methods for knowing the cultural landscape and shows the characteristic features of the cultural landscape in the southern part of Bukovina and the positive practices of its conservation and capitalization. The study aims to promote the protection of landscapes, their management and arrangement, the organization of European cooperation in this field. To this end, a key role is played by the general measures concerning: the legal recognition of landscapes essential for the living framework for the population, while being an expression of the diversity of the common, cultural and natural heritage and the foundation of their identity; identifying and implementing policies aimed at its protection, management and arrangement by adopting specific measures; establishing procedures regarding the participation of the general public, of the local and county authorities for the definition and implementation of landscape policies; the integration of the landscape into spatial planning, urban planning, cultural, environmental, agricultural, social and economic, as well as other policies with a possible impact on the cultural landscape.
