Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research was to examine the level of anxiety in students of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, University of Sarajevo, and the correlation between anxiety and religiosity in the target population. The study took a sample of 131 students, out of which 51 were female and 80 male with an average age of 22.97. The Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale was used to measure anxiety, and the degree of religiosity was determined applying the Centrality of Religiosity Scale. The results show that 51.90% of students assess their anxiety as normal and that almost half of the students have anxiety present to a mild, moderate, severe or extremely severe degree. To check the correlation between anxiety and religiosity, Spearman’s Ro correlation coefficient was calculated and a small and statistically significant negative correlation was obtained, with a lower level of anxiety followed by a more pronounced religious sentiment.
