A Relative Sentence in Surah al-Naḥl

Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the morphosyntactic analysis of the Arabic asyndetic and syndetic relative clause. The paper aims to examine the morphosyntactic structure and provide a description of the analyzed sentence. The research question to be answered is what the most common typological properties of the relative clause are in the processed corpus. By quantifying and interpreting examples, and applying universal typological parameters and comparing them with the Bosnian translation equivalent, the paper ultimately provides a description of the most common typological properties of a relative sentence in the Qur’anic surah al-Naḥl.
