Summary/Abstract: This report discusses some theoretical and applied aspects of the problem of child aggression and ways to form assertive behavior among students in third and fourth grade. The thesis that is advocated in this report is that assertive behavior can be formed by creating an appropriate educational environment. This is a long and difficult process that requires a unified focus of conscious thought and action by the child and leads to self-actualization and growth of the child's personality. Once learned, it becomes its enduring characteristic and enables it to make independent decisions, through independent thinking, turning to personal experience, accurate judgment, initiative, ingenuity, personal discipline, and cooperation.
