FORMATION OF REFUGEE SETTLEMENTS IN BULGARIA (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE BURGAS NEIGHBORHOOD OF KRAYMORIE - THE FIRST THIRD OF THE XX CENTURY)

Summary/Abstract: One of the main manifestations of migrant movements in Bulgaria from the beginning of the XX century is its settlement-forming function. In contrast to the generally accepted laws of the origin of settlements, the formation of refugee settlements is determined by various factors that give it its distinctive features. The present study aims to present and rationalize the nature and specifics of the refugee settlement as a kind of phenomenon. An example is given with the emergence of the Burgas neighborhood Kraymorie, as it has all the parameters that characterize a refugee settlement.
