Summary/Abstract: Folklore or folk culture is at the forefront of the elements that form the linguistic and cultural basis of a nation. Each nation has its own specific features, characteristic only of it, carried over the centuries to the present day. The folk culture of the Turkish population in Bulgaria is understudied, although it can be said that huge work has been done in the search and collection of customs, traditions and folk art by intellectuals, researchers and scholars who have left valuable material for study and research. In this study, a periodization of the studies of Turkish folklore in Bulgaria was carried out, and the main points of research related to the customs, traditions and folk art of the Turkish population were highlighted.
