The problem of ontology in economic theory in terms of critical realism

Summary/Abstract: In this article, I only briefly present the problems of ontology in the social sciences, particularly in the field of the economic theory. The article outlines the role of critical realism in defining the analytical and theoretical approach. Defining the subject of research is a key issue for the selection and application of appropriate research methods. It seems that economic theory is constantly looking for its place on the map of science, and its representatives are looking for the truth of judgments in this field.
