Summary/Abstract: On October 23–25, 2019, the 4th Małopolska Forum of Libraries was held in Krakow underthe motto: “On the other side of the mirror: AI, UX and UI in libraries.” The event was organized jointly by: the Jagiellonian Library, the Regional Public Library in Krakow, the Institute of Information Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, the Institute of Information Studies of the Pedagogical University of Krakow and the Board of the Małopolska Region of the Association of Polish Librarians. The main topics of the conference were: high tech issues, new technologies and their influence on the functioning of libraries, the changing role and image of libraries, the use of artificial intelligence in libraries, the needs and behaviour of users related to technology, the role of the librarian resulting from social and technological changes. Within the three-day programme, lectures, a debate involving the participation of students, presentations, debates at the Book Fair in Krakow and Rajski Hyde Park were proposed.
