Summary/Abstract: The article is based on the interrogation protocols prepared to an unidentified investigator from the OUN (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists) Secret Service. He interrogated a young woman from the village of Wysowa (Gorlice county), who during the war was sent to Germany as forced laborer, and after the war went to the Soviet Union via Czech Republic and Romania. In circumstances yet to be fully clarified she was recruited by the NKVD to reconnoiter the activities of the Banderites on the Polish side of the Polish–Soviet border. After crossing the border she was apprehended by an OUN member and handed over to the investigators from this organization. Her testimony is an illustration of complex and often even tragic fates of civilians entangled into “big history” during and after World War II.
