Nominal groups in the publicistic style

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the pecularities of nominal word groups: their formal expression, lexical and derivational features of a dependent constituent with the rest of the sentence. The spread of nominal expressions in the publicistic style is concerned with the prevailing tendencies of word order patterns, spread of abstract nouns, requirements for the style, influence of other languages. One of the factors contributing to the preservation of nominal word groups is that the word groups with the noun in the Genitive case cannot be used in all cases.
