Summary/Abstract: The paper introduces the Lietuvos Vietovardžių Žodynas (Dictionary of Place Names). The Dictionary gives all Lithuanian place names recorded in the actual language: hydronyms, names of settlements and other place names. The origin of the place name is explicated, its derivation evaluated. It can also be considered as a standartisation book, since it gives already standardised place names.
