Summary/Abstract: The foundation of professional work of nurses should be their ethical attitudes. People choosing this unique profession should be guided by thoughtful, deep, internal motivation.The attitudes of nurses, their attitude towards sick, suffering and dying people reflect the culture level not only of this professional group but of the whole society. In addition to medical competence, the profession of a nurse is also a job of showing love and empathy to other people. The moral values of the nursing profession are of interest to the ethics and theory of nursing. Moral principles in working with patients play a very important role both in making decisions and in assessing the ethical correctness of actions.
