Stages of priestly formation according to the new Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis in the context of formation in major seminaries in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The article presents stages of priestly formation in the new Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis, published by The Congregation for the Clergy, entitled: The Gift of the Priestly Vocation. Initially, the author presents some important remarks about the actual state of major seminaries in Poland. Next, negative phenomena and anthropological, social-culture and church-religious processes are covered, where the new generation of candidates to the priesthood grows. In the third part of the article author presents separate stages of the initial formation (formation to the priesthood) and in reference to them, suggestions for initial formation are presented in prospects of creating a new document on the priestly formation in Poland.
