THE INFLUENCE OF INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION OF LABOUR FORCE ON THE POLISH LABOUR MARKET

Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of the study is an identification of current migration trends observed in Poland and the analysis of impact of migration trends on the Polish labour market. The first part of the article shows determinants of migration and the scale of this phenomenon after May 1, 2004. International migration can generate substantial advantages for migrants, their countries of origin and the countries to which they migrate. Some of these migrations are presented in the article. Apart from the benefits of migration, the paper characterizes costs accompanying the mobility of Poles.
