STATUS, ROLE AND TASKS OF THE BORDER GUARD IN POLAND

Summary/Abstract: National safety requires consistent and effective methods which are at disposal of every democratic country. Straż Graniczna, which is a specialized Polish border guard unit, is one of the most crucial components in the national security system in Poland. The unit is responsible for both keeping the national safety in order and preventing threats. The following thesis also analyzes the role of the border guards in Poland, along with their responsibilities. It focuses on the matter of a border itself, in the context of national safety. The following parts also present the influence of border guards on national safety.
