Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the identification and characterization of the human factor influencing flight safety. The issues discussed in the article were limited to two groups of people: on board of aircraft and ground personnel – controllers operating in towers. The controversial decision of the Polish Air Navigation Agency to introduce a single controller mode at all airports in the country has been taken into account.
