Analysis and perspectives on seven lexical-semantic phrases: between collective memory and applied linguistics

Summary/Abstract: The present study wishes to describe the use and establish the frequency of use of a series of Spanish pragmatemas, that are considered expressions whose interpretation depends on the extralinguistic context. First, a brief definition of the concept of pragmatema is mentioned and a mere description is made, presenting the hypotheses, which include, among others, the meaning, the communicative function and the restrictions of each construction. Then, characteristics of said expressions are added, modified or rejected following the collection of the answers of Spanish native speakers to a questionnaire whose link is attached in the appendix.
