The Battles for the Past and the Academical Science

Summary/Abstract: There were always battles for the history. Moreover, these battles were not only for the interpretations, but also for the facts themselves. Facts which are one and the same thing at first glance have been added, given new meanings, pushed into a new relation in regard to other facts that get alternative assessments. History has been instrument for manipulation more than once in present days. The author analyzes this problem, putting a stress on several themes: “The public sphere is filled with battles for history”; “Morals and use of history: The public versus the academic discourse in history”; “Which are the factors for this embitterment in the battles for the history”; “What should the academic historians and the philosophers do in a situation, where battles for the past replace the battles for the future”.
