Summary/Abstract: PGZ Naval Shipyard (PGZ SW) was established in 2017 as one of theintegrated companies in the Polish Armaments Group S.A. It was formed to takeoverfrom the indebted Naval Shipyard (SMW S.A. in liquidation bankruptcy) – tasks aimedat protecting the basic interests of the Polish state. Since 1922, the shipyard had beenresponsible for ensuring the production, repair and servicing of ships, marine technologysystems and other equipment necessary for the operation of the Polish Navy. PGZ SW'soperational activities were inaugurated on January 3, 2018, the day it took over theassets of SMW, an enterprise with a tradition of more than 95 years.
