The point of view of the author of the scientific review on the cover of the humanistic book

Summary/Abstract: The review of the book cover is an excerpt from a publishing review and at the same time a kind of paratext presenting a specific book and encouraging potential readers to read. The author analyzes various points of view present in the scientific review of the cover of the humanities books. The analysis of selected review texts of the covers showed that the texts of the reviews contain subjective points of view, including: an expert, an authority in a given field, a researcher with an academic degree and/or title, a layperson, or a clergyman. These points of view harmoniously combine and complement each other, giving a specialist view and a reliable opinion about the subject under review.
