Summary/Abstract: The Clazomenian necropolis of the first colonists of Abdera has brought to light an important assemblage of archaic East Greek transport amphorae, including a well diversified range of jars ascribable to Victoria Grace’s former “Samian” lineage, but now shared out between several centres of manufacture, viz. Samos, Miletus and North Ionia.
