Summary/Abstract: The current study presents the process of Bulgarian approbation of a psychopathy assessment scale – Triarchic Psychopathy Measure (TriPM, Patrick, 2010). TriPM is based on the Triarchic model proposed by Patrick et al. (2009), where psychopathy encompasses three phenotypic constructs: disinhibition, boldness, and meanness. Sample size is 1061 adolescents, age range from 13 to 18, listwise N=904. Exploratory factor analysis supported the original three-factor structure of TriPM, with partial displacement of a few items. Confirmatory factor analysis, performed on a second non dependable sample, confirms the results obtained on the first stage of research. Data shows a high level of internal consistency, and a temporal stability of the constructs measured due to the test-rests reliability performed on a sample of 132 adolescents. Results affirm instrument’s psychometric characteristics and its perspective of application with Bulgarian adolescents.
