Summary/Abstract: The article explores the role of the basic attachment dimensions (anxiety and avoidance) on intimacy, commitment, maintenance, and satisfaction in romantic relationships in Bulgarian young adults. The results suggest that secure attachment style predicts better relationship quality. Fearful attachment is related to the lowest levels of the investigated characteristics. Dismissing and preoccupied people are somewhere in-between.
