Summary/Abstract: Czesław Miłosz and Tadeusz Różewicz have shaped the landscape of Polish poetry inthe second half of the twentieth century. Franaszek retraces the relationship betweenthe lives of these outstanding artists and examines their different personality traits.Besides offering psychological portraits of the two men, Franaszek highlights the feelingsthat arose between them and which led Różewicz to describe their relationship as“a brotherhood of poets”.
