The connection between personality factors and professional success

Summary/Abstract: As it has long been known that the intellectual behavior, academic success and professional success are products of both intellectual and non-intellectual factors. The presence of a lot of theoretical and empirical research data about the role of intelligence as a predictor of academic and professional success strongly contrasts with the comparatively small number of works, concerning the relation personality – professional success. The aim of the article is to represent that very tendencies and different aspects of this connection, by summarizing data from several meta-analyses and considerable number, well known at international level, individual researches in the field. The ambition is to cover basic facts and contemporary sources of literature.
