Summary/Abstract: ‘Style Over Substance’: Technologies of Identity, Agency and Profit in Cyberpunk 2020Zarzycka examines the narrative role-playing game Cyberpunk 2020 and the networkof connections it creates within the identity projects of the characters – between selfrepresentation,action opposing the system and capital accumulation. Since all thesefactors rely on technology, the conceptualisation created by the game can providea useful framework for reflecting on problematic aspects of social media culture suchas performative activism.
