Summary/Abstract: Kłosiński discusses Krzysztof M. Maj’s world-making project as outlined in his monographŚwiatotwórstwo w fantastyce [World-Making in Science Fiction and Fantasy] (Cracow:Universitas, 2019). In a way, this project proposes a paradigm shift in literary andnarratological research. Viewing science fiction and fantasy in terms of anthropologicaland cultural research, Maj subverts previous philosophical and literary approaches. Hisbook not only introduces the latest concepts of cognitive narratology and their importantoperationalisation, but also points to the political and manifesto-like dimensions of suchconcepts.
