ST. JOHN – SECOND EXARCH OF BULGARIA

Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the acrostructures in a canon from the Sinaj 20 manuscript in which the names of Methodius and John Exarch of Bulgaria are deciphered, as well as the names of other persons from the Golden Age period: Doks, Naum, Snoor, Mostich and others. The most important historical clarifications in the acrophrase are that Methodius is the exarch of Pannonia and John is the second exarch of Bulgaria. The author examines the semiotic presence of the tau cross in the context of the acrostic.
